Thanks for answering. Clearly, I don't know SF enough. You made me think of my friend who was looking forward to being similarly open-minded about her child's gender choices, and now is despondent that her four-year-old daughter is totally into frilly dresses, sparkly flipflops and barbies. It all may change in the future, of course. But now she has to grudgingly follow along, haha.

I think that kids should just be into what they’re into (as long as it isn’t something dangerous, haha). If girls happen to be into pink, sparkles, and frilly shit, then cool. Let them. But if they’re interested in monster trucks, that’s cool too. And same goes for boys.
