People went back to school today.

I, on the other hand, did not.

Guess who just finished college.

Seriously. I just took my last final and turned in all of my papers/assignments. I am done with all of my college work.

After I already gave you tons of tuition money, $100 to "apply" for graduation, and $60 to RENT my cap and gown...

  • My School: We're so glad that you're graduating with honors! Congratulations. Don't forget to pick up the gold honors rope when you pick up your cap and gown.
  • Me: Cool, thanks! I'm so glad my school values and appreciates my hard work. *Goes to place to pick up cap and gown*
  • Me: Oh, they also said I need to let you know that I need the gold honor cord too.
  • My School: Oh, that's an additional $17.00
  • Me:
  • My School:
  • Me: …fuck this capitalist bullshit.

Call me a negative nelly, but sometimes I am baffled that SFSU is actually people’s first choice.

Mainly because it definitely wasn’t mine. Though I thought it would grow on me or some deep shit like that but it didn’t.

I just can’t wait to get out of here my god.

SFSU was my first choice.

I’m enjoying reading the posts tagged with SFSU

Pretty much all of them are from kids deciding to attend after they graduate from high school in a couple months, or acceptance letters, or talking about the Open House SFSU must have just had for future students. It’s cool seeing all these future SFSU students talk about how excited they are, when I’m just 5 weeks away from graduating from there.

So, future SFSU students, my advice to you:

  • Take advantage of all the school has to offer.
  • Utilize the Student Health Center.
  • Enjoy the grass on the sporadic sunny days.
  • Enjoy the brand new library that I’ve never been able to utilize because it’s been incomplete the entire time I’ve been a student there.
  • Get free condoms/lube/general info about sex from EROS and/or PEACH.
  • Buy fruit from Santiago at the campus Farmer’s Market every Thursday.
  • Join the Feminism in Action group.
  • Be thankful that Ike’s Place just opened, and don’t let the line discourage you: eat their amazing sandwiches. The Vegan Brutus is my favorite.
  • Don’t be afraid to say hello and strike up a conversation with a stranger.
  • Be sure to see The Vagina Monologues during the Spring Semesters.

That’s all for now. :) Enjoy, and good luck!
